Types of outpatient physical medicine services we offer

Musculoskeletal medicine and rehabilitation

An early and accurate diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders can help with a faster and more successful recovery. We provide diagnosis, treatment and management of upper and lower extremity injuries and illnesses, including the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, foot, ankle, knee, hip and sacroiliac (SI) joints and the tendons and muscles in those areas of the body.

Nonsurgical orthopedic care and rehabilitation

A specialized branch of PM&R, the focus of orthopedic rehab is improving strength and reducing pain while restoring mobility, flexibility and function after a major injury, surgery or condition. This type of rehab can be beneficial after a joint replacement, fracture or ligament repair. Our team can provide a comprehensive treatment plan with coordination of therapy, exercises, gait training and, if needed, assistive devices.

Spinal cord injury rehabilitation

Our physiatrists have advanced training in complications associated with both traumatic and nontraumatic spinal cord injuries and disorders, including spasticity, bowel and bladder issues and other musculoskeletal problems. This training allows us to coordinate effective therapies for pain management while navigating functional limitations, helping you resume or improve the ability to perform regular, daily activities.

Sports medicine and rehabilitation

We provide sports injury evaluations, assessments, preventive care for the upper and lower extremities, and athletic-related neurological concerns, including concussions and mild brain injuries. We are also very experienced in treating neck and back issues requiring additional care, pain management and advanced healing.

Amputation rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation specialists collaborate to provide comprehensive pre- and post-amputation care. We offer compassionate, expert treatment for many issues amputees face, including phantom limb pain and residual limb pain. We work closely with prosthetist experts in an interdisciplinary clinic to ensure the correct ordering of appropriate componentry and additional therapy for a successful and seamless experience.

Neurological rehabilitation

With extensive experience in diagnosing and managing neurological injuries and disorders, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, our team is the authority on providing a tailored and personalized plan to help individuals recover and improve function. Our goal is to enhance independence, improve quality of life and promote a high level of independence so patients can get back to doing what they love.
